Why Do I Need A Custom Arrangement?

An off-the-shelf, stock arrangement limits your options as a director.  It might be too easy or too difficult for your group, or require extensive edits and cuts to make it work for your group's purposes.  With a custom arrangement, the music will be tailor-made for your group from the beginning, leaving you with exactly what they need for the best chance of success.  Want a mashup of several unrelated popular songs?  A rock song in a jazz style or a jazz song in a rock style?  You will have as much control as you desire over your musical cuts; choose them yourself or let the arranger make decisions intelligently for you.  This ensures that once the job is completed, you will have exactly the piece of music you envisioned sitting in front of you.  And best of all, you can be sure that the arrangement you're holding will be unique to YOU!

Luke Furman has been arranging professionally since 2011.  From 2010 to 2015 he directed show choir bands at Millard West High School, where he also served as choral accompanist from 2008-2015.  Currently he is the staff accompanist at Omaha Northwest High School.  He also serves as an organist and music director at Hope Presbyterian Church, and plays piano in occasional community musical theatre productions. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Composition from the University of Oklahoma. While at OU, he was a member of the university’s orchestra (playing viola) and participated in the New Improv! Century Ensemble, dedicated to the performance of chance music, minimalism, and free improvisation. He is honored to have the opportunity to exercise his arranging chops with a number of show choirs around the country.
